Filmmaker and director Quentin Tarantino is expecting his first child with his wife Daniella. The couple announced the news on Wednesday, 21st August in an exclusive statement to People. The statement read:
Daniella and Quentin Tarantino are very delighted to announce that they are expecting a baby.
The news comes around a month after Tarantino discussed wanting a family while he appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live for the promotion of his latest film Once Upon a Time in... Hollywood starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt and Margot Robbie. Tarantino told Kimmel,
I haven't been married, I haven't had kids, I just got married, I want to have kids.
Tarantino and Daniella met back in 2009 when promoting his film Inglorious Basterds. However, they started dating only in 2016, eight years after their first meeting. After around a year-long courtship, they became engaged in June 2017.
They hosted an engagement party in New York City on September 2017, where Pulp Fiction cast including Bruce Wills, Uma Thurman, and Samuel L. Jackson reunited to celebrate the couple's milestone. On November 28, 2018, Tarantino and Daniella got married in an intimate ceremony in Los Angeles.
The couple, however, hasn't revealed the gender of their first child and the due date.
Congratulations to the couple.
