Winner of Young Artist Award, Christina Vidal is an American singer, actress, as well as a producer. She is known for her appearances in several movies like Life with Mikey, Freaky Friday, and See No Evil.

As a singer, Vidal was a member of the pop-rock band,Gemstone, along with Crystal Celeste Grant, and Jade Villalon. She also collaborated with others several singers like Will Smith, Lupe Fiasco, and others. As of 2018, Vidal is in a marital relationship with American actor Marcus Mitchell.

Early Life And Education Of Christina Vidal

Christina Vidal was born Christina Marie Vidal on 18th November 1981 in Whitestone, Queens, New York City. Her father Manny Vidal is a tax consultant and businessman, whereas her mother Josie Vidal is a Secretary. Vidal has two sisters, Tanya Vidal and Lisa Vidal, both of them are actors and a brother, Christian.

Vidal joined the Performing Arts School of New York. At the age of seventeen, she went to a girl group, Gemstone where she recorded songs with bandmate Jade Villalon.

Christina Vidal’s Career

At the age of ten, Christina Vidal auditioned for 1993 American comedy film, Life with Mikey, and was selected for the role of Angie Vega. She starred alongside Michael J. Fox, Nathan Lane, and Cyndi Lauper. Her performance in the movie won her two Young Artist Awards under the Best Leading Role in a Motion Picture Comedy as Youth Actress, and Most Promising New Youth Actress (special award).

Vidal played the lead role of Sophia Del Bono in the 2nd season of the American sitcom, Nick Freno: Licensed Teacher from 1997 to 1998. She shared the screen with Mitch Mullany, Portia de Rossi, Clinton Jackson, and Arjay Smith among others.

After that, Vidal kept busy with appearances on other shows before being cast in 2001 American sitcom, Taina as the lead character Taina Maria Morales, a Puerto Rican girl living in New York who wants to be a performer. She was nominated for ALMA Award for Outstanding Actress in a Television Series for her role.

Moreover, Vidal played roles in Chasing Papi and Freaky Friday (both 2003). She then starred in American police drama television series, 10-8: Officers on Duty as Deputy Gabriela Lopez, alongside Ernie Hudson.

In 2006, Christina Vidal was cast in an Australian-American horror film, See No Evil, starring WWE wrestler Kane, Luke Pegler, Samantha Noble, and Michael J. Pagan.

Vidal then made her appearances in a number of TV series including Second Time Around (2004),
ER (2007), House (2009-10), Things We Do for Love (2011), Code Black (2015-16), Training Day (2017), whereas she is credited for her roles in movies like Chasing Papi (2003), I Think I Love My Wife (2007), and Magic Man (2010) among others.

Christina Vidal’s last screen appearance was in 2018 American crime drama series, Sneaky Pete as Valerie alongside Giovanni Ribisi, Marin Ireland, and Shane McRae.

Music Career

Christina Vidal was one of the member of girls’ band, Gemstone. She recorded several songs along with her band mate Jade Villalon and Crystal Celeste Grant performing vocals. In 2002, she singed to MCA Records, and released her first single Tropical and solo debut album White in the summer of 2002.

The same year, Vidal gave her vocals in the remix of  Will Smith's song, Nod Ya Head (The Remix) from the Men in Black II soundtrack. She was also a part of Lupe Fiasco's 1st & 15th Entertainment.

Moreover, Vidal also recorded a song Take Me Away for the movie Freaky Friday (2003). She also sang a song for others movies such as Taina and Byou.
