According to Andrew Morton’s book “William and Catherine,” William was not willing to be committed to his then-girlfriend, Kate. This was the reason behind their separation in 2004 and 2007.

Andrew claimed that it was the storm that had been brewing for a long time arising his unwillingness to commit to Kate and the feeling his friends stated that he could do better.

Andrew also claimed that Kate simply wanted more from him in terms of support and emotional commitment.

One of the close friends of William told the biographer that the pair had several ups and downs in their relationship at St. Andrews because of his refusal to commit.

One of their friends also claimed that William had treated her as his servant rather than his lover.

The couple again parted their ways in 2007. During their separation, William realized about the things he wanted in his life and saw what he had given up after his separation from Kate.

As per royal correspondent Richard Palmer, after separating from Kate, William had wild carousing in a London night club. He eventually started to miss Kate but refused the idea of reconciliation.

Richard said:

Prince William couldn’t get over Middleton. Shortly after their split, the couple reconciled and they never split again.

William and Kate announced their engagement in 2010. While announcing the engagement, the pair openly talked about their separation.

In the following year, the pair got married at Westminster Abbey in London. The duo has three children together; Prince George of Cambridge, Prince Louis of Cambridge, and Princess Charlotte of Cambridge.

Sources are claiming that the pair is willing to welcome their fourth child after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle welcomed their first child.
