Crichlow is the daughter of France Crichlow (owner of the Mangrove restaurant) and Lucy Addington. She has three siblings, two sisters Amandla (actress), Francesca Crichlow and a brother Knowlton Crichlow.

Crichlow studied drama at the University of Sussex. At the age of 12, she trained in acting in the Young Blood Theater Company in Hammersmith and later worked in the same company.

Lenora Crichlow started her TV career in 2004 from the TV film, Bella and the Boys as Stacy. The same year, Crichlow worked in ITV police procedural TV series, The Bill starring Billy Murray, Russell Boulter, Peter Ellis, and Christopher Ellison.

Previously, Crichlow dated Irish actor, Aidan Turner. The couple met for the first time on the sets of BBC Three show Being Human. But their relationship did not last long and broke up in 2011 for some undisclosed reasons. Her ex-boyfriend released a statement saying,

 I don't know anyone on this planet who hasn't had their heart broken. It's happened to me. Love is love, it's the purest and rawest thing we have in life.

In 2016, there were rumors about the pair rekindling their romance after they were spotted in LA. The buzz faded soon after Turner was spotted kissing a mystery lady.
