Jenna Elfman is an American actress and dancer who debuted in the entertainment industry in 1990 with a music video appearance in Depeche Mode's song Halo. She initiated her acting career from a Television show, The George Carlin Show in 1994 and then in the movie Grosse Pointe Blank in 1997. She is a member of Church of Scientology and is involved in a lot of fundraiser activities.

Jenna Elfman was born Jennifer Mary Butala to Grace Butala and Richard Butala on September 30, 1971, in Los Angeles, California. Her mother was a homemaker and her father was a Hughes Aircraft executive.
She is youngest of the three in her family and grew up in her hometown with the siblings. Elfman belongs to Croatian ancestry from her father and was brought up as Roman Catholic. Her mother belonged to Scottish, German and English ancestry.
