She was born to parents Ellen who is a Jill-of-all-trades and Vincent Lilley; a Judge. She has three siblings, two brothers named Michael Lilley and Ryan Lilley and one younger sister named Katherine Lilley.

Lilley's career began at the Univesity of Virginia. She got her first role in a film called The Loss of Life. After this, in 2011 she appeared in a supporting role in the silent movie The Artist which was directed by Michel Hazanavicius starring James Cromwell, John Goodman, Penelope Ann Miller, Bérénice Bejo, and Jean Dujardin.
In the same year, Lilley played several characters on MTV's Disaster Date, alongside Jason Karasev, Lauren Zima, Hasan Minhaj, Russell Pitts, Cale Hartmann, and Kara Luiz. She then appeared in the iCarly TV movie, iParty with Victorious as Monie which is her highly appreciated role.
Similarly, she played a character named Maxie Jones as a temporary recast for Kristen Storms on General Hospital while she was on her medical leave.
