An awkward moment! Kristen Bell has revealed that her husband, Dax Shepard, once flirted with her mom, Lorelei Bell.
The Good Place alum, 39, had an interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Tuesday, February 25, where she told the show host, Ellen DeGeneres, that the Zathura actor, 45, mistakenly flirted with her mother by sending her a suggestive response via text.
The Hello Bello co-founder told DeGeneres,
She was coming in town and sends a text like, ‘Be there by 11.’ And then sends something else that says, ‘Can’t wait to see you tonight.’
She added,
He meant to respond ‘smiley face, smiley face, smiley face.’ And instead, he responds, ‘eggplant, eggplant, eggplant.’ When he did it, he went, ‘Huh! Oh no! I made a huge mistake.’ And I was like, ‘What?’
Kristen then said that the conversation between Shepard and Lorelei took on an entirely new meaning after he sent the eggplant emoji instead of smiley face emoji. The eggplant emoji frequently used to indicate a desire to make love.
Bell started dating Shepard in 2007 following her split with Kevin Mann earlier that year. The two got engaged in January 2010 and three years later in October 2013, and they tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony.
The husband-wife duo shares two children, daughters Lincoln, 6, and Delta, 5, together.
