American actor, comedian, writer, and director, Dax Shepard is known for portraying Crosby Braverman on NBC's Parenthood and for his roles in the films Without a Paddle, Let's Go to Prison, Zathura, and Employee of the Month.
Early Life And Education Of Dax Shepard
Dax Shepard was born Daximus Randall Shepard on 2nd January 1975 in Milford, Michigan to mother, Laura LaBo, who worked at General Motors, and father, Late Dave Robert Shepard, Sr. who was a car salesman.
His parents divorced when he was 3 years old and he had to live with his mother who went on to marry three more times. His mother was a successful businesswoman. From the age of 14, Dax began working for his mother, traveling from racetracks to racetracks for GM.
Shepard attended Walled Lake Central High School and graduated in 1993. He then joined The Groundlings School. Dax went on to attend Santa Monica Community College and West Los Angeles College and later transferred to UCLA.
He thus graduated with a magna cum laude degree in Anthropology. Shepard was never really interested in acting although he was a class clown in high school. He lived in Santa Barbara and then moved to Los Angeles in 1996. He auditioned unsuccessfully in the improv Candid Camera-type show, Punk'd.
