Parents Divorced When He Was 3
Dax Shepard was born as Daximus Randall Shepard on 2nd January 1975, in Milford, Michigan. His mother, Laura LaBo, used to work at General Motors, while his father, Dave Robert Shepard, Sr., was a car salesman.
His parents had divorced when he was 3 years old and he had to live with his mother who went on to marry three more times. His mother was a successful businesswoman. From the age of 14, Dax began working for his mother, traveling from racetracks to racetracks for GM.
Shepard attended Walled Lake Central High School and graduated in 1993. He then joined The Groundlings School. Dax went on to attend Santa Monica Community College and West Los Angeles College and later transferred to UCLA.
