Yannick Bisson is a Canadian actor and director. He has acted in several movies and television. He is widely known for playing a role as Detective William Murdoch on the popular series, Murdoch Mysteries.

Early Life

Bisson was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on May 16, 1969. He holds a Canadian nationality. career. is of French and English ancestry belonging to the white ethnicity. He grew up in Canada with his family. He moved to Toronto, Ontario, as a teenager and started his acting career.

Bisson made his debut in the acting from CBC's critically acclaimed 1984 movie of the week Hockey Night. He was cast in the movies along with Megan Follows and Rick Moranis. He has appeared in the Canadian television series, "Learning the Ropes" in 1988. He also acted in the series High Tide co-starring Rick Springfield.

In 2000, Bisson appeared in the Showtime drama Soul Food as attorney Brian Tedrow. He also made his appearance in the short-lived CBC show, "Nothing Too Good for a Cowboy" with Sarah Chalke as the F.B.I agent Jack Hudson. He also appeared in the second season of Falcon Beach and was also featured in Crazy for Christmas and Genius.

Bisson provided his voice in "Maxie's World," a children's animated series. He also acted in the CBC Television drama series Murdoch Mysteries. He was cast alongside several celebrities including Helene Joy, Thomas Craig, Jonny HarrisGeorgina ReillyLachlan Murdoch, Jonathan WattonPaul Rhys and Lisa Ray.

On December 30, 2013, he appeared as a preschool teacher, in CBC Television series The Adventures of Napkin Man.
