A woman, 46, a mother of four, suffered serious injuries after she fell from a super-king size bed during sex in England.
Claire Busby, 46, got a terrible spinal injury after she fell backward from a recently delivered double-divan in August 2013.
The Maidenhead native Busby told that she was in the bed naked with her then partner when the incident happened. The injuries left her paralyzed since August 2013.
Mrs. Busby has now sued the furniture manufacturer and has demanded $1 million in compensation. Busby told the court on Monday, 15th October's hearing that the bed broke while she tried to change her sex position and he fell onto her head. According to The Telegraph, Busby told,
I spun around, I put my hand down and then I felt like I was catapulted off the back of the bed. My head hit the floor, I fell to the side and then I heard like a spring in my body snap.
Meanwhile, the bed manufacturer Beds Are Uzzz denied the claim straight away and declined that they are liable for the injury. However, Busby claimed the bed was defective and the two divan bases holding up the mattress wasn't fastened correctly.
The businesswoman also alleged that two feet of gliders were missing on the bed, however, the lawyers for the bed company said that if the gliders were missing from the bed, it wouldn't have broken in the way that Mrs. Busby described. The lawyer said,
It is overwhelmingly likely that whatever her actions, they were too close to the edge of the bed and she simply lost balance and toppled backward.
According to the reports, Beds Are Uzzz is a family run business which has six stores in the South West of England.
