Demi Lovato was born as Demetria Devonne "Demi" Lovato on August 20, 1992, in Albuquerque, New Mexico to father, Patrick Martin Lovato who was a musician and engineer, and mother, Dianna Lee Hart who is a former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader.
Lovato spent her childhood in New Mexico with her older sister, Dallas, a younger maternal half-sister, actress Madison De La Garza. She has an older paternal half-sister, Amber. Demi is of American nationality.
