Some serial killers have born and died over the centuries, but the most dangerous and scary serial killers are those who don't even leave the bodies after killing them. Today we're describing the seven ravenous cannibal serial killers.
1. Issei Sagawa

Issei Sagawa was a Japanese student attending his master's degree in English Literature in Paris. There he met and killed a co-ed on June 11, 1981, as reported. He then proceeded her to cannibalize her for next two days. Ultimately, the French authorities arrested him but deported him due to his insanity. He was not taken any action against in Japan, and he lives a free live in Japan currently.
2. Tamara Samsonova
A Russian woman Tamara Samsonova also known as The Grammy Ripper is a suspect in a brutal cannibal serial killing. She was arrested in 2015 on suspicion of the murder of her 79-year-old friend, Valentina Ulanova after a CCTV footage revealed her transporting body parts in a black plastic bags.
She admitted in macabre testimony how she sawed up her body parts and how she boiled them up. The 70-year-old serial killer is suspected of killing a minimum of 11 victims over two decades.
3. Peter Bryan
Peter Bryan is a lesser-known cannibal serial killer, who killed two people only. The England native Bryan was clinically insane and was suffering from schizophrenia. He killed a young shopkeeper, Nisha Sheth by beating her with a hammer. After he confessed his crime, he was admitted to the Broadmoor Hospital.
After many years of psychiatric care, he was released under terms of extended supervision. However, during the time of his release, Bryan killed, cooked and ate his friend Brian Cherry. When police reached to catch him, he had been frying his friend's brain in a pan, allegedly with butter, and eating it and he also confessed it to the police where he said, "I ate his brain with butter. It was nice."
4. Mauerova Family
Klara Mauerova, the mother of two boys, Ondrej, 8 and Jakub, 10, locked them in a cellar and tortured the siblings for eight long months. Klara in a s sociation with other cults and relatives tortured, abused, and in particular, skinned them and forced them to eat their flesh.
The mother in her mid-thirties pleaded guilty in the court, where the two siblings told Klara and her relatives had stubbed cigarettes out on their bare skin, whipped them with belts and tried to drown them. The court sentenced Klara to 9 years imprisonment while her sister Katerina, 35 (then) was jailed for ten years for her crimes.
5. Jeffrey Dahmer
Jeffrey Dahmer used to be the most infamous and scary serial killer between 1978 and 1991. He is the convict of the murderer of 17 young men and boys. He usually drugged them and strangled them before doing it, dismembering, and sometimes eating them.
When police entered his apartment in the late eighties, the apartment was full of the dismembered body parts, skeleton furniture, and personal pictures of men and more. He later recalled, eating his victims made him feel as if he was keeping them forever. He stated,
I was branching out, that's when the cannibalism started, eating the heart and the arm muscle. It was a way of making me feel that they were a part of me. At first, it was just curiosity, and then it became compulsive.

The RUF was a revolutionary group of Sierra Leone in Western Africa. The group terrorized the rural Sierra Leone to control the nations diamond mines. These groups committed horrific atrocities like forcing children to become soldiers, amputations of limbs and cannibalism of enemies.
According to the source, their motives for eating their enemies were to receive 'strength from the human flesh and as a tool for intimidation.
7. Ed Gein

Ed Gein is one of the America's infamous murderers who shook America. The Wisconsin native confessed to only two murders and surprisingly was only convicted of one. Gein was a shy man who lived on a farm and had some serious issues with his mother and women in general.
The issues ultimately led Gein to kill two women and wear their skin as masks. Furthermore, he also kept trophies of female vulvae and made decor from their flesh.
When police raided his farmhouse after finding him suspicious, they found the body of one of the women, Bernice Worden, decapitated and gutted. After he confessed the murders, Gein was sent to a psychiatric institute, where he died of cancer.
