Anthony Padilla is the founder of the sketch comedy channel Smosh. In 2002, he built a website called Smosh.com which featured numerous flash animations. The website rapidly grew and increasing its popularity.

In 2005, he decided to create a YouTube channel with his best friend, Ian Hecox. Initially, they upload lip sync videos of several theme songs of popular children’s programs including Power Ranger, Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Pokémon etc.
