WNBC, channel 4 is the flagship station of the NBC Television Network which is located in New York City. WNBC is owned by NBC Owned Television Stations group. It runs with the slogan we’re 4 New York and secondarily as we are New York. The network was established in the year 1928 July 1 and first aired in 1941 July 1. The meaning of the Call letters is W National Broadcasting Company. It formerly ran as WNBT in the year 1941-1954 and as WRCA-TV from 1954-1960.The WNBC’s studios are co-located with NBC’s corporate headquarters at 30 Rockefeller Plaza at Manhattan and its transmitter is located at Empire state building. WNBC is available in the United States on satellite via DirecTV and Dish Network.
