Sawyer Sweeten was born on the 12th of May 1995, in Brownwood, Texas, the U.S. He was born to mother Elizabeth Anne Millsap and father Timothy Lynn Sweeten.

Besides his identical twin brother, Sullivan Sweeten, he had 5 siblings, all sisters namely Madylin Sweeten, Jaymeson Sweeten, Elliette Sweeten, Maysa Sweeten, Guiliana Sweeten. He was of white ethnicity and was American by nationality.

Sawyer Sweeten’s Personal Life

Sweeten was a young and sweet man who had a beautiful acting career ahead of him before he committed suicide. He was focused on his acting career and was not known to be dating any girl before his death in 2015.

Sawyer Sweeten's Death

Sweeten committed suicide on April 23, 2015, at the young age of 19. Police reports say that he shot himself with a handgun. The whole media world was shocked by the news that the very talented child actor lost his life. He shot himself while he was visiting his family in Texas. His older sister Madylin Sweeten released a statement confirming his death, however, she didn't reveal the cause of his suicide. The statement read,

This morning a terrible family tragedy has occurred. We are devastated to report that our beloved brother, son, friend Sawyer Sweeten, took his own life. He was weeks away from his 20th birthday. As this sensitive time, our family requests privacy and we beg of you to reach out to the ones you love.

His death disheartened his fans from across the world who had seen him grow along with their favorite television show.

In the video, his mother revealed her son denied to have any problem when she asked him, however, she said he called up his father and he said that he was evil and didn't deserve to live. After some time, Sweeten shot himself to death. 

Sawyer Sweeten’s Career

Sawyer was a child actor; his first and the most known role was as Geoffrey Barone he played in the hit sitcom, Everybody Loves Raymond. After this, he played as Young Frank McKlusky in the feature film Frank McKlusky, C.I. in 2002. He had also played in the series Even Stevens in 2000.

He was a very talented actor and gained huge attention with his first few roles, however, his career was cut short by his suicide. He was praised by all the cast members of Everybody Loves Raymond including his father in the series Ray Romano, Doris Roberts and Philip Rosenthal.

Sawyer Sweeten’s Net Worth

Before his suicide, he had amassed a decent net worth of $2 million. He mainly earned the net worth from his time on the show Everybody Loves Raymond.

Ray Romano was one of the highest paid actors on TV; he was paid $1.7 million for his appearance on the show. But Sawyer’s earnings from the show have not been revealed. Patricia Heaton, who played his mother on the show has a massive net worth of $40 million.
