The nuptials comes just two months before the Jersey Shore star is scheduled to begin his sentence. Earlier this year, Sorrentino pled guilty to one count of tax invasion and was given eight-month sentence with an additional two years of probation on October 5. Meanwhile, his brother Marc pled guilty to one count of assisting in the preparation of a false and fraudulent tax return for which he was given 2 years in prison.
Mike and his college sweetheart, Pesce announced their engagement in April 2018. Sorrentino popped the question to Pesce on Valentine's Day when she visited him in Miami while he was filming the season 2 of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation. Talking with Us Weekly in April, Sorrentino said,
I approached the executive producers and I let them know, 'Listen I really want to do this. This show is really special to me. This is the show that introduced me to the world. It was really special for me to do this, to get down on one knee on Jersey Shore.
Pesce told at that time,
I had high expectations for when this happened and he went above and beyond my expectations. He really impressed me with all of it.
