Melissa McCarthy To Host Little Big Shots Replacing Regular Host Steve Harvey
- Actress and comedian Melissa McCarthy is replacing longtime host Steve Harvey in Little Big Shots fourth season.
- NBC's co-chairman of entertainment, Paul Telegdy announced McCarthy as the show's new host.
- The show will be aired on NBC at eight on Sunday nights next winter; however, the exact premiere date is to be revealed.
- Harvey's producers are in a process to get the program another network where he is still working on ABC's Family Feud.
Paul Telegdy, NBC's co-chairman of entertainment revealed the news in a statement that said:
Melissa's just an incredible performer and incredible comedian. She will bring a completely fresh perspective to it.
Melissa is a strong creative force with her own ideas. Changes will be apparent.
Though the show's premiere date is yet to be announced, the show will begin airing at 8 in the night on Sunday nights after the end of the football season next winter.
The announcement comes shortly after it was revealed Harvey's daytime talk show, Steve, is being canceled by NBC after seven years. People reported the show's final episode was taped on Thursday, 9th May and will run from June through September. Kelly Clarkson's new daytime show The Kelly Clarkson Show is to replace the show.
Meanwhile, Variety reported the NBC executives were unhappy to cancel Harvey's show. While Harvey is currently working on ABC's Family Feud, Harvey's producers are in the process of getting the program other networks.
