For nearly a decade (the mid-2000s to mid- 2010s), Boysselle majorly focused on movies. In 2007, she earned her film debut in Blue Eyelids appearing alongside Cecilia Suárez and Enrique Arreola. The same year, Magali shared the screen of horror mystery film The Wind of Fear with Martha Higareda, Verónica Langer, and María Aguilera.

Her other film appearances include El Lado Oscuro de La Noche (2011), En el ombligo del cielo (2012), Gloria (2014), Bad (2015), and Lo que podríamos ser (2018). Reportedly, Magali's 2014 film Cantinflas co-starring  Óscar Jaenada, Michael Imperioli and Ilse Salas, is the actress's highest-grossing film; it collected $17.99 million over the budget of $3 million.

In 2017, Boysselle portrayed the role of a reporter in crime-drama TV series Ingobernable (8 episodes) and then in mini-series Mita and Mita (13 episodes). She landed the role of Josefina Rivas in Prisoner No. 1 (2019, 15 episodes) starring Erik Hayser, Alejandra Ambrosi, and Jimena Bilsup. Also, in 2019, Magali worked in 61 episodes of Cita a ciegas (translated as 'Blind Date'alongside Sofía Garza, Victoria Ruffo, and Arturo Peniche.

The Mexican actress made a guest appearance as Therapist in Netflix series Dark Desire (2020), starring Maite Perroni and Jorge Poza. After successful completion of Season 1 (18 episodes), the series was renewed for another season on August 19, 2020, with the premiere set for 2021.
