Lisa Edelstein is an American actress as well as a playwright. She is best known for portraying as Dr. Lisa Cuddy on the American television medical drama series House ran on Fox network for eight seasons alongside Omar Epps, Jesse Spencer, Dana Jacobson, Kal Penn, Olivia Wilde, Amber Tamblyn, Odette Annable, Charlyne Yi and much more.
Lisa won the People's Choice Awards for favorite TV drama actress for her role in House. She was also nominated for Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series.
Early life and education
Lisa Edelstein was born on May 21, 1966, in Boston, Ma s sachusetts, United States. She belongs to white ethnicity and holds an American nationality.
Lisa is the daughter of Bonnie Edelstein and Alvin Edelstein. Her father was a pediatrician at Chilton Memorial Hospital whereas her mother is a former social worker.
Lisa grew up with her siblings in Wayne, New Jersey and was raised in a Jewish family.
Lisa joined Wayne Valley High School and graduated in 1984. During her high school days, she worked as a cheerleader of New Jersey Generals owned by Donald Trump. Lisa faced a problem and protested after team forced them to stand in bars when they were wearing uniforms.
In 1984, Lisa moved to New York City where she attended the New York University's Tisch School of the Arts.
Career
Lisa Edelstein began her acting career while studying theater at N.Y.U.'s Tisch School of Arts. She performed in a wide range of productions on and off Broadway, and performed the AIDS-related musical "Positive Me" at Ellen Stuart's La Mama, in Manhattan. It was one of the earliest AIDS-related theater productions.
Lisa first appeared on the television as a host of the cable series Awake on the Wild Side in 1990.
In the year 1991, Lisa made her debut with the movie The Doors as a makeup artist. The next year, she appeared in the American television legal drama series, L.A Law as Francine Flicker.
Later, Lisa appeared in several movies and television series including, The West Wing, Relativity, Ally McBeal, Daddy Day Care and much more.

Lisa Edelstein married to her long time partner Robert Russell on Sunday, May 25, 2014, in Los Angeles and the following day she went to Vancouver to play a newly single woman in Bravos Girlfriends Guide To Divorce.
Her husband Robert is an American artist. They exchanged their gold wedding bands designed by L.A. jeweler Neil Lane. Lisa and Robert posted their loving photos on social sites.
Till date, they have no any children. There is no rumor about her past affair and boyfriend
