She is best known for portraying as Dr. Lisa Cuddy on the American television medical drama series House ran on Fox network for eight seasons alongside Omar Epps, Jesse Spencer, Dana Jacobson, Kal Penn, Olivia Wilde, Amber Tamblyn, Odette Annable, Charlyne Yi and much more.

Lisa is the daughter of Bonnie Edelstein and Alvin Edelstein. Her father was a pediatrician at Chilton Memorial Hospital whereas her mother is a former social worker.
