Jo Wilson is mostly seen in the afternoon on Sky News presenting the sports news. She was born on 25 September in London and now is working in Perth. Jo joined the Sky Sports News Team, as a trainee, shortly after she graduated with a Masters in Journalism from Glasgow Caledonian University. She says she was inspired by presenter Gabby Logan to follow her dreams.
Before Sky Sports
Jo Wilson, before being in Sky Sports, worked in a pizza hut when she was doing her Master's Program at Glasgow Caledonian University, in 2010. Jo Wilson started the Multimedia Journalism Masters Program at Glasgow Caledonian University in 2010. She struggled with her studies as she had to work for 30 hours per week in a pizza hut restaurant before graduating in 2011. Then, shortly after her graduation, she joined Sky Sports News as a trainee and then as a sub-editor.
Her Career in Sky Sports
As Jo Wilson finished her Master's Program at Glasgow Caledonian University she joined Sky Sports. Jo Wilson was promoted from trainee to sub-editor and then to co-producer. Now, she is a co-producer as well as a presenter on Sky Sports News. Jo Wilson says that when she had an interview for the MA Multimedia Journalism program, she told the lecturers that her dream job was to present on Sky Sports News.
Back in 2015, Jo Wilson sent the message of encouragement to journalism students at the University. The message was about letting the students know the importance of determination. She conveyed them the message of her determination which helped her become a Sky Sports Newscaster.
Jo is very much active on her social networking sites like Twitter and Instagram.
