The former Straight Outta Compton star Jason Mitchell is dating Mary J. Blige. The couple started dating in 2017. She is an American singer, songwriter, and actress. The duo first met during the filming of MudBound, in May 2016.

In August 2016, Mitchell was accused of assaulting an 18-year-old girl. The girl named Emily Marquez told that Mitchell tried to kiss on her neck and when she refused, he got angry and grabbed her wrist. She further added:
