Jack Harris is an American fisherman who is best known for his show, "Deadliest Catch." The show is a doc u mentary-style series that was first aired on the Discovery channel in 2005. The show mainly focuses on the extreme weather and hardships the crew has to face during their voyages on the Bering Sea in which they fished for crabs.

His parents are divorced, and his father remarried after the divorce. His father is a half Caucasian and mother is half Pacific Islander. Jake Harris holds an American nationality and belongs to the mixed ethnicity.

Harris started his career as a pizza delivery boy and later, he worked at a slaughterhouse before joining the fishing business. Jake started working with his father at sea at the age of 19 and worked there for about 6 years.
He joined his father and his brother on board the Cornelia Marie on the show Deadliest Catch where they would catch crabs from the Bering Sea. His father, Phil was the captain of the boat. He along with his family are were signed to the Discovery Network. The show has run for 14 seasons and more than 242 episodes since its premiere on 12 April 2005.

Jake Harris’s Personal Life
Jake Harris is a determined and focused person who has given a lot of his time to his career which might be one of the reasons why he is unmarried and not dating anyone yet. Sometimes, he is also referred to as a workaholic. Despite being a television personality, Harris has kept his relationship secret for so many years.
On the contrary, he had a troubled past where he was addicted to drugs. He was even caught stealing pills from his father on their show. Later, he confessed to his father about his drug addiction on camera. He admitted he started taking drugs from his high school days and was also arrested for possession of banned substances such as Xanax and Crystal Meth. He suffered from a heartbreaking moment when he lost his father due to a stroke on February 9, 2010.
