John died at the age of 51 due to a stroke according to his death certificate. The certificate lists the cause of his death as acute ischemic stroke, intracerebral hemorrhage, and hypertension.
The American film director died on April 28, 2019, at 3.30 PM, a day before his family announced about his pa s sing.
As it was reported, the Snowfall producer died on Monday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in LA. He expired after he was taken off life support following a ma s sive stroke.
John had been in a coma in ICU following a stroke on April 17 while in the hospital. The Boyz in the Hood writer and director checked in at the hospital after getting back from Costa Rica and experiencing problems with his legs.
