Cartelli started her journey as a singer when she auditioned to compete in the fourteen season of The Voice. She sang Beneath Your Beautiful by Labrinth on her blind audition. Two of her coaches, Blake Shelton and Kelly Clarkson turned their chair and she chose to be the part of Team Kelly.
She then competed with another Team Kelly member, twenty-one-year-old Dylan Hartigan in the Battle rounds as the two sang Ready for It? by Taylor Swift. Cartelli won that round and mark herself as one of the tough contestants.
On the live Playoffs, Cartelli performed the song Unstopabble by Sia from which she was able to receive a lot of votes which made her through to the top twelve directly. The last two songs of Cartelli reached the top ten of iTunes which gave her a bonus multiplier for each show. During the live finale on 21st May 2018, she sang with her coach Don't Dream It's Over by Crowded House. Then she performed on Julia Michaels song's Walk My way and closed the night with Skyfall by Adele.
At the end of the night, she was named the winner of the show defeating Britton Buchanan coached by Alicia Keys. Cartelli's compilation "The Complete Season 14 Collection" debuted on the Billboard 200. Similarly, she has recorded two tracks, Pink Sky and Future of Us.
