Aladdin: Naomi Scott, Will Smith and Mena Massoud Announced As Three Lead Cast Members
Disney has officially found its Princess Jasmine and Aladdin for the live-action “Aladdin” remake. The announcement of the cast members was at the D23 Expo on Saturday.

Disney production’s President Sean Bailey said in a statement that newcomer Mena Massoud will be taking over the role of Aladdin, and the Pink-Ranger from the “Power Rangers” Naomi Scott will play Jasmine in the live-action adaptation.

Will Smith was announced to play the role of the Genie as well.
Naomi Scott was announced as Princess Jasmine after auditioning more than 2000 actresses.

The script writer of “Big fish”, John August wrote the new script for the “Aladdin”. The producer of “Sherlock Holmes” will be the producer for Aladdin through his Lin Pictures company. Similarly, Jonathan Eirich is the executive producer for the movie.

The movie will be directed by Guy Ritchie. While no release date for Aladdin reboot has been announced, we sure are excited and can’t wait for the movie to go on floors now.
