The celebrated American journalist Kristen Welker is enjoying a blissful married life with her husband John Hughes. Welker and Hughes walked down the aisle on the 4th of March 2017 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
The beautiful couple tied the knot at the Bellevue Hotel in Philadelphia. The wedding was a fairytale one for the pair as the hall was specially designed which represented their love for one another.
The grand ceremony was attended by their family, friends, relatives, and Welker's co-workers Chuck Todd, Peter Alexander, Kelly O’Donnell, Pete Williams, and Andrea Mitchell. It's been a year of their marriage, on the occasion of their 1st anniversary, the duo celebrated by going on a romantic date.

The news reporter Kristen Welker was having a hard time to find someone special to settle down with. But when her friends set a date for her with a marketing director of Merck Philadelphia, John Hughes, things changed for the sake of good.
Welker and Hughes first met back in October 2014 through a common friend Laura Nagle. On their first date, they tried their best to look good and impress one another. Thankfully, they got along pretty well and were able to mark the date as filled with lots of talk and laughter.
Unlike the first date, their second date was canceled and postponed many times because of the journalist's hectic schedule. However, when it happened, Mr. Hughes did something special and ended up winning the heart of the reporter. Hughes made a special crossword puzzle of presidential trivia for the White House correspondent Welker.
Following the cute little things, Welker and Hughes started dating. However, things weren't easy as Welker was extremely busy and occupied to her work. Despite the unfavorable situations, the lovebirds always tried to find a way to be with one another and their effort really worked. Hughes drove for hours just to see his girlfriend for a few hours.
The couple was so in love that it became hard to live in separate. Then Hughes popped up the question back in June 2016. To make the moment special, he took Welker at Lincoln Memorial and propose her to be his and with happiness, she said Yes. Since then, the couple is inseparable.
