Christian Ward, age 31, better known by his stage name Yung Berg, is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter from Chicago. Yung’s first single was ‘Sexy Lady’ that features R & B singer junior released in April 2007. He had been previously signed to DMX’s Bloodline Records as Iceberg.
Yung Berg also featured on the Exit Wounds soundtrack, and he then signed to Epic Records. His debut album called Look What You Made Me was released in 2008.
Early life and Education
Yung Berg was born on September 9, 1985, in Chicago, Illinois, United States of America. Yung belongs to American nationality, and his ethnicity is black.
Chicago-native Yung already had a record deal signed to DMX’s fledgling Blooding Records when he was 15. However, his parents hastily pulled him out and sent Berg’s off to a military boarding school in Montana in 2011.
Berg moved to Los Angeles to get off his career after returning from school. He signed his first recording label while still a teenager, however, he was sent to military school before starting his professional career.
Professional career
Moving to his career, Yung Berg was signed to DMX’s Bloodline Records in 2001. Berg moved to Los Angeles after finishing school in 2003. After that, he worked as a hypeman and recording a s sistant for Disturbing the Peace member and Chicago rapper in 2005.
Yung Berg’s single Sexy Lady became a hit on Los Angeles radio and had a contract with Epic Records. His six-track EP Almost Famous: The Sexy Lady EP was released in July 2007.
Yung Berg released a compilation mixtape from Berg’s new label Yung Berg Movement or YFM with singer Mia Rey and Chicago rapper Jordon Hollywood. Currently, Yung Berg is executively producing returning singer Tamar Braxton’s third studio album in 2013.
Yung Berg also co-wrote and co-produced for Nicki Minaj’s album named The PinKprint in 2014. During the same time, he appeared in the season of the VH1 show called Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood.
Personal life and Affair
Yung Berg has been dating with longtime girlfriend Masika Kalysha. However, The rapper allegedly a s saulted a woman catching her neck in December 2015 which ended his relation with Masika.
Yung Berg has many previous affairs before dating with Masika, including Joie Chavis (2013-2014), Jaslene Gonzalez (2008-2009), and Arica Kane (2006-2014). He also had encounters with Teairra Mari, Karrine Steffans, Jenna Shea, Milani Rose, Casha Darjean, and Kat Stacks.
Yung Berg has already been accused of not taking care of his son named Lamont McFerrin according to his son’s mother, Breanna McFerrin who shared a note on Instagram of her frustrations.
