Pornstar Stormy Daniels To Receive Key To The City From West Hollywood For 'Speaking Truth To Power' In Legal Battle Against Donald Trump

West Hollywood will present the adult actress Stormy Daniels with the key to the city of West Hollywood for 'speaking truth to power' in the legal battle against president Donald Trump.
The West Hollywood mayor will join the city officials on Wednesday to present her with a Key to the City and a City Proclamation. Mail Online reported Daniels would also have Wednesday named in her honor.
Daniels will sign autographs and meet her fans at Chi Chi La Rue's, the West Hollywood city spokeswoman Sheri Lunn said. He said in a statement,
In these politically tumultuous times, Daniels has proven herself to be a profile in courage by speaking truth to power even under threats to her safety and extreme intimidation.
The pornstar has been engaged in a battle with Trump over a non-disclosure agreement and payment she took to keep the matter to her about the alleged affair with Trump.
Mayor John Duran said,
Trump administration has been a direct threat to the people of the city of West Hollywood-our LGBTQ community, our immigrant community, women here in this community-so Stormy Daniels has really shown up as the woman to save the Republic.
Daniels' lawyer Michael Avenatti took to his Twitter on Tuesday announcing the celebration. "We should all thank Stormy for her courage and fortitude through this process," he wrote in his post.

In early 2018, the city presented a key to actors Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong who portrayed Cheech and Chong in Up in Smoke. The honor also marked the 40th year since the movie was released.
