Canadian-American actress Pamela Anderson has split from her new husband, John Peters just twelve days after their secret wedding. The Hollywood Reporter, which also broke their wedding news, confirmed their split on Saturday, 1st February 2020.
The 52-year-old Baywatch actress and activist released a statement to the Reporter revealing her abrupt split. The statement read:
I have been moved by the warm reception to Jon and my union. We would be very grateful for your support as we take some time apart to re-evaluate what we want from life and from one another.
It continues,
Life is a journey and love is a process. With that universal truth in mind, we have mutually decided to put off the formalization of our marriage certificate and put our faith in the process. Thank you for respecting our privacy.
A source close to the couple told People they had not filed the legal documents for a marriage certificate following their wedding.

The news comes just over a week after Anderson posted the first photo of her and her husband, Peter, 74, following their marriage on her Instagram Stories. The black-and-white photo showed the actress smiling next to Peters, who wore shades.
Anderson and Peters first met during the mid-80s. The couple had a brief fling at the time but went on to date other people shortly. They rekindled their romance in late 2019, several years after their first encounter, and tied the knot just months-long relationship.

Anderson was married four times previously. The Canadian-born actress was previously married to musician Tomas "Tommy" Lee (m. 1995-div.1998), singer-songwriter Kid Rock (m.2006, div.2007), and poker player Rick Salomon (m. 2007 ann. 2008).
Besides, Anderson dated French soccer star Adil Rami for two years from 2017 to 2019 before she started dating Peters. Anderson has two sons with her second husband, Tommy Lee.
