Born in Syracuse, she was raised in Delmar in New York City. She has a mixed ancestry of Italian although she is an American by nationality. Then in 2008, she married a businessman named Douglas Brunt, who has now become a writer. With Douglas, she has got 3 children and the couple who live together at their home are in a happy and strong relationship.

As a child, she studied at the Bethlehem Central High School and was an active child both outside and inside the class. She was involved in sports and played hockey and basketball. She was also involved in the cheerleader squad and was the captain was it.

 She graduated her high school and worked for some time as article writer in a magazine, which grabbed her attention. She got enrolled at the Syracuse University and studied Political Science, with Law as her major.

After working there for some time, she thought about pursuing a career in Journalism and moved to New York after she got a job at ABC’s WJLA-TV. She worked hard there in her first year and covered some major events, the highlight of them being 2004 presidential election.
