Lisa Marie Presley is an American songwriter-singer, well known for her all-time hit albums like 'To Whom it May Concern,' and 'Now What.' She is also well known as the daughter of business magnate, and actor-singer, Elvis Presley.

Lisa Marie Presley was born on 1st Feb 1968 in Memphis, Tennesse, United States of America. She was born to Priscilla Presley and Elvis Presley. Lisa's parents got divorced in her early age, and she lived with her mother.

She has a mixed ethnicity of German, English, Scottish, and holds an American nationality. As of May 2022, her age is 54 and she stands at a height of  5 feet 2 inch or 157 cm tall.

When Lisa's father pa s sed away, she was just nine years old and stayed with her great-grandmother, Minnie Mae Presley, and her grandfather, Vernon Presley. After her grandfather died in 1979 and her great-grandmother in 1980, Presley became the only heir and inherited Graceland.

On 8th April 2003, Lisa released her first album titled To Whom It May Concern. The album peaked number 5 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, also was certified gold in June 2003. She wrote all the lyrics of the songs except the one titled 'The Road Between.'

To promote the album, Lisa held a concert in the United Kingdom. The first single from the album named 'Lights Out,' peaked number 16 on the UK charts and no 18 on the Billboard Hot Adult 40 chart.

Lisa Marie's second album released on 5 April 2005, 'Now What,' peaked number 9 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. She also wrote ten songs and recorded covers of Don Henley's 'Dirty Laundry,' and the Ramones ' Here Today and Gone Tomorrow.'

Presley's third album titled 'Storm and Grace was released on 15 May 2012. She stated 'It's too much more of an organic record, rootsy record, than my previous work.'

Lisa Marie Presley and Pat Benatar performed at the VH1  Divas Duets; a concert held to make benefit for VH1 Save The Music Foundation which was organized at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on 22nd May 2003 in Las Vegas.

In 2003, Lisa recorded a song titled 'Silent Night' for the NBC Holiday collection, Sounds of the Season. Other singers who contributed to this collection including, Coldplay, Michael Buble, Bonnie Raitt, Kylie Minogue and Carly Simon.

In 2006, a doc u mentary about Johnny Ramone of the rock band, the Ramones was released titled Too Tough to Die: A Tribute to Johnny Ramone. The doc u mentary was directed by Mandy Stein, the film shows The Dickles, Deborah Harry, Eddie Vedder, X, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, and Lisa Marie, raising money for cancer research.

The following year, the single, 'In the Ghetto,' was released. Elvis Presley previously released the original single in 1969. In the latest version, Lisa duets along with her father. A video was released with the single and peaked at number 1 on the iTunes sales and number 16 on Billboard's Bubbling Under Hot 100 singles chart.

The song was recorded in tribute to her late father, Elvis Presley on his thirtieth death anniversary.

Later in 2009 October, Lisa joined singer, Richard Hawley on stage in London. She gave vocals on a song that the pair had been working on titled Weary. Hawley wanted to help Presley relaunch her music career.

T Bone Burnett said of joining with Lisa on Storm & Grace. He said,  "When songs from Lisa Marie showed up at my door, I was curious. I wondered what the daughter of an American revolutionary music artist had to say."

Music videos

In the year 1997, Lisa Marie Presley made a video of 'Don't Cry Daddy,' as a duet along with her father. The video was released on 16 August 1997, at the tribute concert that marked the 20th anniversary of her father's death.

Her video of the single 'Lights Out' was launched on 2003 Feb. The video was directed by Lawrence, it was from her album titled 'To Whom It May Concern.' Presley's second video from the album was directed by Barnaby Roper and was filmed in New York for the song 'Sinking In.'

In 2005, on her second album, Lisa's first single video was for a cover of Don Henley's 'Dirty Laundry.' Patrick Hoelck directed the song video, and singer George Michael made a cameo appearance in it.

Patrick Hoelck teamed with Lisa Marie for her second video of the same album. The video was filmed in Los Angeles.

Later Lisa collaborated with Director Tony Kaye for the video of 'In The Ghetto.' Lisa Marie shot the video 'In The Ghetto,' starring her late father Elvis Presley, in hurricane-ravaged New Orleans.

All proceeds from the single and video went to benefit a new Presley Place transitional housing campus there.
In 2006, Presley was invited to take part in a video of Johnny Cash's 'God Gonna Cut Down.' Rick Rubin produced the record and Tony Kaye directed the video which starred Iggy Pop, Chris Martin, Lisa Marie Presley, Dixie Chicks, Kris Kristofferson, Justin Timberlake.

Lisa Presley married a musician, Danny Keough on 3rd October 1988. Together, the couple has two children: a son Benjamin Keough, and a daughter Danielle Riley Keough (born on 29 May 1989.)

Later on 6th May 1994, the couple got divorced in the Dominican Republic.  Even after the divorce, Lisa still considers her ex-husband as a good friend.

After twenty days of her divorce with Keough, Lisa Presley married singer Michael Jackson. They first met in 1975, when seven-year-old Presley went several of his concerts in Las Vegas.

The began having an affair in 1992, after that, the couple stayed in contact every day through the telephone. Later, Lisa started facing problems when, her husband was addicted to drugs, which led the couple to separate.
