Lil Rel Howery is an American actor and comedian famous for his role on the NBC's television comedy series The Carmichael Show as Robert Carmichael and as TSA officer Rod Williams in the thriller Get Out. He as of 2019, stars on the TV series Rel, which he co-produced and created.

Lil Rel Howery was born Milton Howery Jr. on December 17, 1979, in Chicago, Illinois, U.S. under the star sign Sagittarius.
He was born to father Milton Howery and mother Nancy Howery. He is African-American by ethnicity and is American by nationality.
Regarding his education, he joined 5th grade at Providence St. Mel School and left after studying 9th grade. He then went to Crane High School played basketball as well as wrote jokes and scripts. He was nicknamed Lil Rel because he reminded people of his cousin Darrel.

Lil Rel Howery started his career by performing at a local club on Chicago's East Side called the Lion's Den. He struggled for a bit but later went on to have a stellar career as a comedian.
He debuted on television by making an appearance on Last Comic Standing. In the same year, he joined the star cast of P. Diddy Presents: The Bad Boys of Comedy on HBO.

In 2014 he wrote, cast and produced the sketch series Friends of the People, after this in 2015 he appeared on Kevin Hart Presents: Lil Rel: RELevent which was a comedy special.
His breakthrough came in 2015 when he starred in The Carmichael Show as Robert ‘Bobby’ Carmichael. He did the show for 2 years and it ended in 2017.
Notably, in 2018 he starred in the show Rel which is co-created by him. The show is still airing with Howery as the main actor. The same year he appeared on The Comedy Central Roast of Bruce Willis.
After this, he started voice acting in 2019 and voiced Goodberry in Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure along with Chuckles in The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle.
