Junior Campbell is one of the very popular professional footballer from Costa Rica. He was born in 12th September in the year of 1983 in the city Sanjose of Costa Rica. He was grown up in a environment were sports were taken like a religion. He grew up with his father who not only was a popular national footballer of his time but also was a true inspiration for Campbell to establish himself as a professional footballer. His full name is Junior Enrique Diaz Campbell His parents name is Enrique Diaz. Apart from playing from national team he is engaged with his Current Team FSV Mainz 05 .He plays from the team wearing the jersey No.20 and is popular as a Defender. .
Career
Junior Diaz learnt most of his early basic skills from his father. He used to say that apart from being a good footballer his father was also a very impressive coach. Although he had participated in lots of local games of football in his area in his childhood, it took him while to get into the professional football. But just after few years of getting into the professional football he made his first legend appearance in the senior Costa Rica National football in 2003 September. Later in 2004 he made his very first appearance in Copa America where he entered into the match after a second half. He was also an active member of the Costa Rica National Football Team when the team participated Olympics in Athens in 2004.In the very match he entered in the field as a substitute while he played against Chile. He had appeared in all the total of 4 matches and amazingly the Costa Rica made a victorious start to the trophy. Later they even won the UNCAF Nations Cup 2005 tounament. Later in end of 2005 he was also seen in a match of CONCACAF Gold Cup where he made an impressive performance. He initially started his career from CS Herediano and after 3 years he was signed by Herediano .After 3 years in 2007 he was transferred to Wisla Krakow where he played his game for about 2 years .After that he was again signed by Club Brugg .After spending .some time in Club Brugg he was again re-signed by Wisla Krakow from where he again got transferred to Club Brugg. Later in 2013 eh was transferred from Club Brugg to FSV Mainz 05.
