Hallie Jackson Gives Birth to a Daughter Nearly One Month Early

Congratulations are in order for Hallie Jackson and Frank Thorp! The NBC News chief White House Correspondent, 35, and her partner welcomed their first child, a baby girl, on Monday, March 9.
Today‘s Hoda Kotb, Craig Melvin, Al Roker and Savannah Guthrie announced the baby news on Wednesday’s episode.
Jackson and Throp, who is a producer and reporter for Capitol Hill Team of NBC News, have named their newborn daughter Monroe Jackson Thorp. The new parents will her “Ro” for short.
Ro was born weighing 5 lbs., 9 oz., and measuring 19 inches long. Her birth was an unexpected one because her due date was early April.

As previously reported, Jackson announced her pregnancy during Sunday Today in November. She said at the time that she was "so excited" and feeling "awesome."
Shortly after, she revealed that she was expecting a baby girl with Throp.
Jackson, who has an estimated net worth of $1 million, and Thorp have been in a romantic relationship for years.
She was previously married to Doug Hitchner. The former couple tied the knot in 2011 (the date when they got a divorce is not available).
