American individual artistic gymnast Samantha Cerio, who broke both of her knees and torn ligaments on both knees while appearing in the NCAA Regional Semifinal in Baton Rouge, is now a married woman.
The 22 years old gymnast took the chance to enjoy her wedding day on her feet just only after two months of the horrible incident. The incident ended her gymnastics career.
Cerio and her husband, Trey Wood, who already lined up a job in Seattle at Boeing, got married at Alabama’s Fairhope Yacht Club earlier this week.
On 1st June, Cerio posted a picture of herself with Wood revealing that she only has one more day to get married.
On 3rd June, Cerio posted a series of pictures from her special day writing I got the Wood #GettingTheW #ShipFaced.
In the post, she posted numerous photos of her friends on the beach, a video of herself and her new husband cutting the wedding cake, and the bridal party enjoying some wine.
As per the photos shared by one of her guests, Cerio was able to enjoy her first dance. She even danced with her father at the ceremony.

Getting married had been a goal she had set for herself as soon as she woke from surgery. Her coach, Jeff Graba, said:
She wants to walk down the aisle and get married, and we’re hoping she can do that.
Despite being surrounded by many memes on her knee injury, she kept a positive attitude.
