Congratulations are in order for Greta Gerwig!

The Oscar-nominated actress and playwright, 35 gave birth to her first child with her boyfriend, Academy Award-nominated director Noah Baumbach. The couple kept the birth of their first child completely secret.

Us Weekly reported a source close to the couple reported the couple has welcomed a baby boy together.

Speculations regarding the new member's arrival sparked after the Lady Bird director 35 and her boyfriend 49 were spotted walking with a baby stroller in Manhattan on Tuesday, March 19.

A witness told E! News,

Noah was pushing and Greta was right next to him. They were chatting and enjoying some fresh air.

The witness continued,

They were bundled up ion the chilly weather and they had a gray and white striped blanket draped over the stroller. It seems like the baby was sleeping because they were busy talking and didn't have to tend to the baby.

The baby is the first child for the actress whereas Baumbach, 49, already has a son, Rohmer with his ex-wife, actress Jennifer Jason.

The couple who met in 2010 when she worked on his film Greenberg and months later, they started dating in late 2011.

Talking with The New Yorker in 2013 that she was dating someone else, however, she ended her relationship with him after she realized she had started liking Noah. The pair further collaborated on Frances 2012 and Mistress America in 2015.

The lovebirds kept their relationship secret for years before they made their appearance together at the Academy Awards in February 2018 where she was nominated for Best Original Screenplay and Best Achievement and  Directing.
