Days after the pregnancy revelation, the comedian's partner, Butcher announced that the couple is expecting a baby boy while speaking to TMZ as she ran errands in LA on Friday.
The upcoming boy will be the first son for Murphy and Butcher together, Murphy's fourth son and tenth overall.
Butcher said the couple is delighted to welcome their second child and she also revealed the sex of their child to the outlet saying "It's going to be a boy." At one time, the TMZ reporter asked the Australian actress if they would name the boy after the famous actor, to which she replied laughingly, "Possibly. I don't know."
In late August, Murphy and Butcher announced the upcoming arrival of their second child in a statement through a representative. The statement read:
Eddie Murphy and longtime girlfriend Paige Butcher are pleased to announce that they are expecting their second child in December.
Before, the 39-year-old actress was speculated to be expecting after she was photographed in a floral maxi dress in which she tried to hide her growing belly bump. The long-time-lovers have been together since 2012 and they share a daughter, Izzy Oona, 2, together.
Besides, the legendary actor and comedian has eight more children from his previous marriage and relationships. Murphy shares a son, Eric Murphy, 29, with his ex-girlfriend Paulette McNeely, son, Christian, 28, with Tamara Hood, and a daughter Angel Iris, 11, with English singer Mel B.
Murphy was married to Nicole Mitchell Murphy from 1993 to 2006 and he has five children with his ex-wife. The couple gave birth to daughters Bria, 28, Shayne Audra, 23, Zola Ivy, 18, Bella Zahra, 16, and a son, Miles Mitchell, 25.
