Is Mirtha Jung Dating After Her Divorce With George Jung?

Mirtha Jung, the ex-wife of George Jung, is possibly single. The same way, she came into the limelight after her marriage to George Jung, she faded away from the media after her divorce from the infamous smuggler. 

Mirtha and her ex-spouse George tied the knot, in 1977, in an intimate wedding ceremony. The couple shared a wonderful married life before their relationship ended up in divorce after around seven years. 

Moreover, Mirtha who was portrayed by Penélope Cruz in Blow (2001), isn’t active on media at all after her separation with her husband, George Jung. There was a time when some sources even claimed that she died. However, that wasn’t true at all.

As of now, the one-time frequent face on the media Jung has totally vanished from the mainstream. Also, it’s believed that George had multiple girlfriends and that he even used prostitutes, but that was before they got married. The reason for the downfall of their marriage, however, is stated as the continuous consumption of drugs by Mirtha.

Mirtha was in her early 20s and already a drug addict when she first met George. He was then a part of the Medellin cartel alongside its founders the Ochova Vaquez brothers, Fabio, Jorge Luis, Juan David and the drug lord Pablo Escobar. After meeting him, she impressed by his lifestyle and attitude then began a relationship with him.

The couple married in 1997; she also became his partner in crime- she contributed to the cartel's operations in the USA as well. She did not stop using drugs during her pregnancy as well and even after the birth of their only daughter, Kristian Sunshine Jung- who was born in August 1978.

Unfortunately, their tuning could not go for long last. She decided to change her way of life when her daughter was only six. Later in 1994, her ex-husband was sentenced to 20 years in prison. He released in 2014 and shortly after he rekindled his relationship with his daughter Kristina Sunshine.
