Billionaire Jeffrey Epstein, who has been under the custody for sex trafficking of minors, was found injured inside a cell with an injury in the neck on Tuesday, 23rd July.
The business tyc* * n was found lying in a fetal position with marks on his neck in his cell at Metropolitan Correctional Center. The news comes weeks after he was arrested over sex trafficking charges.
Epstein was reportedly semi-conscious at the time guards found him inside the cell. Although the cause of his injuries is not revealed officially, the medical emergency said they were the result of a suicide attempt.

Sources told NBC 4 that police have been investigating on the possible attack on Epstein by another inmate.

The news comes less than a week after U.S. District Judge Richard Berman denied Epstein's bail. Before the court session, a search warrant on Epstein's house revealed he had a fake pa s sport and stacks of cash hidden in his safe.
Earlier this month, Epstein was arrested over sex trafficking and was arraigned with one count of sex trafficking of minors and one count of conspiracy to engage in sex trafficking of children. If convicted, Epstein may face up to 45 years in prison.
