American financier and science and research philanthropist Jeffrey Epstein was arrested and charged with sex trafficking on Saturday, 6th July. Epstein was arrested as his private jet landed from France at Teterboro Airport in New Jersey.
A source reported the federal prosecutors with the US Attorney's Office in Manhattan made the arrest. The same source revealed to The Daily Beast that Epstein is set to make his first court appearance on Monday, 8th July in New York.

He was arrested on sex-trafficking charges involving allegations that date to early 2000. Epstein, who was once a friend with former president Bill Clinton, and president Donald Trump, was arrested for allegedly paying underage girls for ma s sage and molesting them at his home.
The 66-year-old philanthropist was previously accused of sexual misconduct over dozens of teenage girls.
Meanwhile, the FBI agents broke down the door to Epstein's Upper East Side mansion and executed a search warrant in the case. A nearby security guard told DailyMail that 20 to 25 law enforcement arrived at Epstein's mansion at around 6:30 pm and they were seen around the mansion as long as 2 am.

The Southern District of New York had been reportedly investigating Epstein on unknown charges for the past few months.
