America's one of the successful radio show hosts, Francesa was first married to Kate Francesa in 1983. The couple, however, after 11 years, due to some unrevealed reasons got divorced in 1994.

On 14 July 2000, at a great wedding ceremony, he tied the knot to his second wife Rose Francesa. The pair is blessed with three children; two fraternal twins daughter Emily Grace and son Jack Patrik, and a son Harrison James. Two of the fraternal twins were born on 17 January 2005 and Harrison was born on 20 November 2006.

In an interview, he said that being with his children makes him feel young at heart. Mike even invited his family to the show on weekends to celebrate Happy Holiday.
On 24 December 2016, Francesa left his show and decided that he will retire and will spend quality time with his family especially children.

Mike Francesa has been suffered through several health issues in his whole life. In 2006, he was out of his radio show for a few days because of his weight issues. He revealed that he has to change his diet due to overweight.
He has also undergone reconstructive surgery in his both knees. Once he was playing golf in Westhampton Beach, New York where he broke his kneecap. To fix his knee cap he had to do surgery.
He also stated that he has heart problems and did an Angioplasty. In an interview after the surgery, he said: "My wife has always been with me. And now I am glad that I have my children support."
