American actress Amandla Stenberg has been cast in the lead role of Damien Chazelle’s Netflix series The Eddy which is set to be globally debut in 2020.
Debuted in 2020
The Eddy is a musical drama which has eight-part musical drama and is speculated to debut in 2020. The show revolves around a club in Paris, that highlights its owner, the home band, and the chaotic city that surrounds them.
Amandla will be playing the character of Julie, the teenage daughter of Elliott (Andre Holland) who shows up in Paris and forces him to face his past. She joins Joanna Kulig on the show who was previously announced to be played by Maja, a singer.
Directing the show alongside Houda Benyamina
The La La Land filmmaker Damien Chazelle is directing the show alongside Houda Benyamina and Alan Poul. Scribe Jack Thorne will also be writing several episodes for the drama.
