American singer Allison Iraheta made her major breakthrough and identified herself her name all over the world following her breakout performance on the eight season of American Idol where she received a fourth place. Besides, the singer also won the Telemundo competition Quinceañera: Mamá Quiero Ser Artista. She released her first album on December 1, 2009, titled Just Like You. As of now, she is the lead singer in the band Halo Circus. 

Early Life And Education Of Allison Iraheta

Allison Iraheta was born on April 27, 1992, in Glendale, California, United States. Her parents are Salvadoran immigrants. They moved to the United States before Allison’s birth. Allison has two older siblings namely Jacki Iraheta and Carlos Iraheta.

Iraheta went to Animo Ralph Bunche Charter High School in Los Angeles. Allison used to perform at the Los Angeles Music and Art School’s annual benefit concert called Stars for the Arts as well as also performed frequently at the Local Latin Electronics Store, La Curacao.

Iraheta was very interested in music from her very early childhood. In 2001,  she started taking voice lessons. She took the lessons with Raphael Enriquez at the Los Angeles Music and Art School. The school is a non-profit community school of the arts in East Los Angeles. She belongs to American nationality and regarding her ethnicity, he is from a mixed ethnical background. 

Alison Iraheta's Professional Career 

Alison Iraheta career took a slight leap after she won the reality show “Quinceanera: Mama Quiero Ser Artista” (Sweet Fifteen: Mom, I want to be an Artist) in 2007. She sang in both English and Spanish on the show. The main prize of the competition was $50,000.

After some legal problems of the show, the recording contract was never finalized as well as the show’s production was also closed.  In 2009, Iraheta auditioned in the eighth season of American Idol in San Francisco. She sang the song of Aretha Franklin "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman" making it to the Hollywood audition rounds. 

For her mind-blowing performance with her soulful and unique voice, Iraheta gained a huge praise from audience and coaches like Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul.  On May 6, 2009, Iraheta was unexpectedly voted out in the fourth round. Throughout her American Idol journey, she sang songs by various artists including Michael Jackson, Aerosmith, Patty Loveless, Garnet Mimms, Pink etc.

After she was eliminated, Iraheta made TV appearances through popular shows like The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Live with Regis and Kelly, The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien, Larry King Live and local Fox television a s sociates. Besides she also was on various radio stations and took part in American Idols LIVE! Tour 2009.

Iraheta released her first album titled “Just like you” under Jive Records on December 1, 2009. The album made it at number 35 on the Billboard 200 album chart. The lead single “Friday I’ll be over u” became quite popular. The record label dropped her because of her debut album’s underperformance and was also dropped by 19 Records. She has been writing songs for her second album.

She announced through her Twitter account on January 3, 2013, that she formed a band called Halo Circus. She is the main vocalist there while Matthew Hager is on the ba s s and keyboards, David Immerman on guitars and Valerie Franco on drums.

After Iraheta eloped with band member Matthew, Veronica Bellino was brought in as her replacement. On October 8, 2013, the band released their first single Gone via iTunes.  The band’s debut album is expected to come out in 2014.

In 2009, Iraheta was nominated for the Teen Choice Awards.

On January 27, 2013, which was the next day after the band performed their first gig at The Troubadour in West Hollywood California, Iraheta and band member Matthew Hager eloped.

Iraheta is a married woman now. Iraheta and her husband Hager have not any child. From 2006 to present Allison has been active on the music industry.
