Career Highlights

In 2011, Watt was drafted by Houston Texas with the 11th pick in the first round of the draft. Except for the 40-yard dash, Watt was a top performer in all categories in the NFL Draft. Moreover, he was also voted the Texas team's "Rookie of the Year".  

In 2012, Watt was named Houston Texan's MVP and AP Defensive Player of the Year. The 2012 season was the best year of Watt by finishing the season with 69 tackles, 12 a s sisted tackles, 16 pa s ses defended, 20.5 sacks, two fumble recoveries, and four forced fumble recoveries.

The same year he got voted the Defensive Player of the Year and first Texas team player to receive NFL player of the Year. 

In 2013, Watt had a strong season as his team faced defeat in the 2013 season. However, he became 'Pro Bowl' Captain as well as named 'NFL Pro Bowl'.

Due to surgery, he was forced to withdraw from the 2016 Pro Bowl.

In 2016, Watt underwent through back surgery for a herniated disc. Due to his injury as well as surgery, he was ruled out in the 2016 season.      

In 2017, Watt returned to play the 2017 season after recovering from injury. When he played off against the Jackson Jaguars he left the game with leg injury. He suffered a tibial plateau fracture in his left leg and was necessary to go in surgery. Due to the surgery, he was ruled out of the 2017  season.

In 2018, Watt returned from his injury and played the season against the New English Patriots, New York Giants, and Indiana Colts. In his 2018 season for the fifth time in his career, he was named First Team All-pro.
