Congratulations are in order! Teen Mom OG stars Mackenzie Standifer and Ryan Edwards have welcomed their first child together. According to several tabloids, the couple named their newborn son Jagger Edwards.
Edwards' mother, Jennifer Edwards went on confirming the arrival of her grandson on Twitter on late Monday night, October 8 where she wrote "Blessed!"
The news comes after a prolonged legal trouble for Edwards, 30, who was arrested in July in Red Bank, Tennessee for he r o i n possession. He was released a week later when the charge was dismissed. There was a second charge of the possession-petition to revoke, for which he was given 11 months and 29 days suspended sentence.
In August this year, a source close to Edwards told Us Weekly that he was in "complete denial" about his addiction and had refused to go to the rehab. The source added that Standifer intended to stay with him. In October Edwards returned to rehab.
The husband-and-wife announced the upcoming arrival of their first child in March. The announcement came around 10 months after they tied the knot in May 2017
Months after the pair announced they were expecting their first child, they announced that they had quit the MTV reality series. In July, Standifer told E! News that:
We are not returning to Teen Mom this season. The network told us they don't want to show Ryan as a recovering addict.
She further said,
But they did want to enter a contract with our unborn baby and have the baby film Ryan's parents so it would look like someone else is raising it.
Edwards has a son Bentley, 9, with his ex-partner Maci Bookout, a former MTV personality. And Standifer has a son, Hudson Stephens, 4 with her ex-husband, Zachery Stephens.
