The news presenter has been married to Timothy Law Synder, for 13 years. Carol met him for the first time when she was interviewing him for a story on the odds of winning the power ball lottery.
Then, they dated for few years and tied the knot in 2004. Since then, they have been enjoying their conjugal life. The pair has attended several events and functions together.
Timothy Law Synder, her husband, became a president of the Loyola Marymount University, in June 2015.
His wife was together with him during the president announcement ceremony. Carol was happy for him while he was elected as sixteenth president of the Loyola Marymount.

“This was a personal decision and it was extraordinarily difficult. It was like cutting off my right arm. I have lived apart from my husband for many years but he was always close by because he was on the East Coast. But last year, he snagged a fantastic job in Los Angeles at LMU [Loyola Marymount University] and I kind of miss him.”

Timothy Law Synder, an American educator, mathematician, and musician, currently serves as current president of the Loyola Marymount University, one of the top universities in the Country.
He has been serving as the sixteenth president of the University, since March 2015. Timothy replaced David W. Burcham, former president of the institution.
Synder is well known for his academic research, computer music, data structure, geometric probability and so on. He started his career as a graduate student and teacher at the University of Toledo in the department of mathematics, in 1981.
In 1987, Timothy started teaching career from the George University in Washington, D. C. After some years, he became a dean of the University. In 2007, he joined the LMU and worked as a professor of mathematics till 2014.
