Regarding Yanic Truesdale's education, he completed his school level from the National Theatre School of Canada. Later on, she moved to New York City where he joined the Lee Strasberg Theater Institute.

Just after the completion of the acting course, Yanic Truesdale moved to Los Angeles, California to pursue a career in acting. He made his acting debut in Canadian TV film Lance et Compte: All for one in 1991 as Joseph Brousseau.

Prior to his debut, he worked in several TV movies and series including Prince Lazure, He Scores, He Shoots, Les héritiers Duval, Un gars, une fille, Bad Karma, Rumours, Sing It!.

His career got limelight after he appered in the sitcom Roommates for which he earned the nomination in Gemini Award. Also, his role for Majeurs et vaccines, he was able to bag the Best Acting: Comedy Series or Special Award.
