Emmy nominated American journalist, Trish Regan who proclaims herself as the defender of truth, freedom-lover & capitalist, went professional in journalism shortly after her graduation from Columbia University. From 2015 to 2020, she worked in the Fox Business Network; as anchor of The Intelligence Report with Trish Regan, and then for Trish Regan Primetime.

But after her controversial statement in support of then-President Trump in early 2020, she parted ways with Fox.  

The talented television host, investigative journalist, and author has worked for Bloomberg Television for 4 years until 2015, and earlier, worked for CBS News as a business correspondent. She has been featured front page economic columnist in USA Today.

Trish Regan Early Life & Education

Trish Regan was born on December 13, 1972, in Hampton, New Hampshire, the United States as Tricia Ann-Regan McEachern. She belongs to the White ethnicity and holds an American nationality. 

Regan has been very graceful and talented from an early age. She had a dream to appear on television as a program presenter during her childhood days.

She graduated Cum Laude from Columbia University, in 2000. She is a graduate of Phillips Exeter Academy. Regan also studied opera in Graz, Austria, and at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston before enrolling in Columbia. While she was in high school, she stood first place in the Harvard Musical Association’s competition.

Career In Journalism After A Brief Stint In Pageantry

Trish Regan, the Miss New Hampshire 1993, and Miss Deerfield Fair 1993 went to represent her home state in the 1994 Miss America pageant. But after her University graduation, Regan sought a career in journalism & joined KPIX-TV, a CBS-owned station in San Francisco, California, where she was a correspondent.

In 2001, she became a correspondent for CBS MoneyWatch and later served as a business correspondent alongside Bob Schieffer in CBS News' CBS Evening News with Bob Schieffer until 2007. Moreover, she saw an Emmy nomination in 2007 for her reporting on the terror connection between the Tri-Border region of South America and Islamic terrorist groups.

While at CBS, she was an investigative reporter for events including the Enron scandal, Hurricane Katrina, Rita, and Wilma.

After that, Trisha Regan joined CNBC, where she hosted a daily market show and created doc u mentary long-form programming for the network. Regan is recognized for hosting CNBC’s highly rated daily program called The Call.

Her works in CNBC include the in-depth special news on the underground marijuana industry, "Marijuana Inc: Inside America’s Pot Industry." The show is the most-watched special in the history of CNBC.

She was nominated for an Emmy Award for a Best Doc u mentary category for her doc u mentary work on “Against the Tide: The Battle for New Orleans.” 

Regan reported extensively on the European sovereign-debt crisis, Brazil’s economic boom and challenges, etc. She left CNBC in 2011.

Regan joined Bloomberg in 2011 and has interviewed some of the most prominent personalities including Virgin Group CEO Sir Richard Branson, World Bank President Jim Yong Kim, NSA Director Admiral Michael Rogers, and former President Bill Clinton.

While at Bloomberg, she hosted the daily global market show, Street Smart with Trish Regan on Bloomberg Television. She also anchored a series of primetime specials, including the network’s 2012 Presidential campaign coverage.

She also used to report on the economic policy issues mega health careth care insurance, privatizing social security, and government pensions.

In the early years of her work with CBS, Regan earned the award of the Most Outstanding Young Broadcast Journalist Under 30 Award from the Northern California Society of Professional Journalists.

Joined Fox Business Network 

In April 2015, the Hampton native joined Fox Business Network as an anchor for The Intelligence Report with Trish Regan on weekdays. Moreover, beginning in 2018, she switched to primetime conservative talk show Trish Regan Primetime

But after 5 years (in early 2020) in Fox Business, Trish parted ways with the channel.

Controversial Statement & Exit From Fox Business Network- What Is She Doing Now?

Back in August 2018, Regan saw attention worldwide for her 'Denmark controversy after she likened Denmark to Venezuela, and argued that "there's something rotten in Denmark". During the segment, Regan sought to demonstrate that the economic model in Denmark was infeasible.

Later, she clarified her remarks after critical remarks in the US and Danish press, saying:

"Just to be clear, I was never implying that conditions in Denmark were similar in any way to the current tragedy on the ground there in Venezuela". 

However, it was after her statement on March 9, 2020, that led to her departure from Fox News. Amid the coronavirus pandemic, fearless Regan commented in support of then-President Trump, stating the Democrats had exploited the crisis for political gain, & impeach Trump, which she told "Coronavirus Impeachment Scam."

After March 12 broadcast, her show was put to a halt & later on March 27, official confirmation of Regan's exit from Fox came up.

Since September 2020, Trish serves as the founding president of Trish Intel, where she hosts her podcast Trish Intel.

Aside from being a successful journalist, Trish Regan is a responsible wife & proud mother of 3 children. Her husband James A. Ben, is an investment banker. She is living a happy and cheerful life with her husband.

The pair married on August 15, 2001, but has kept the details on their courtship low-key. But such a strong bond between the two defines they remained boyfriend & girlfriend for many years before turning their relationship into marriage.

On July 20, 2009, she announced on air that she and her husband are expecting twins. The couple welcomed cute twins daughters Alexandra and Elizabeth on December 8, 2009. Their son, Jamie Ben was born in 2012. The family of five currently resides in New York.
