Tricia Janine Helfer was born on April 11, 1974, in Alberta in Canada. She was born in the rural community of Donalda. Her father's name is Dennis Helfer while her mother’s name is Elaine Helfer.

Tricia Janine Helfer was found by a modeling agency for the first time when she was just 17 while she was standing in the line of the film theatre. She played her first film in 2000 and it was named Eventual Life. After that she played lots of films like White Rush, The Genius Club, Memory, Spira, The Green Chain, Walk All Over Me, Battle star, Hidden Crimes, open House, PostHuman,37, Finding Christmas and Author Anonymous.
Tricia also played many series like Jeremiah, CSI, Battle star, The Collector, Canada’s Top Model, Them, The Dealership, Burn Notice ,Chuck ,Warehouse 13,Human Target, Dark Blue, Lie to Me, The Whole Truth, Two and a Half Man, Husbands, Ultimate Spiderman and Killer Woman.
