Houston Police arrested a woman from her home on Friday, 30th November after she was found guilty on her five-year-old son's murder.
Lihui Liu, 43, killed her son by drowning him and then she performed decapitation over him before she stuffed his body in a trash can. The boy's father discovered his headless body in a trash can in the garage of their home.
Houston Chronicle reported that police received an emergency call reporting a stabbing at the home at around 7 p.m. Friday. Liu later confessed she drowned her son, however, gave no further description.
Liu and her husband also have a 13-year-old daughter but it is still unclear whether she was in the house at the time of the murder or not.
Liu has been charged with murder and is expected to attend in court on Monday, 3rd December. She is held without bond.
